SHERLOCK \0/ \0/ \0/ \0/ \0/
THAT WAS COMPLETELY AWESOME. Just so you know.

Halfway through the episode I realised that Gisborne's sister was in the episode. HAI ISABELLA. This time without frizz hair?

ANYWAY: ANY THOUGHTS ON 2x01, PEOPLE?

(Also, thank you Live stream for only dying on me twice. I wish you and I would work this well together on Merlin, too.)

ETA: OKAY, SOME THOUGHTS.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. (No, really)
This was posted yesterday. Yesterday. Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levit performing a song together. My life, it is complete at last.

YESTERDAY. And OMG, I love Zooey and her music anyway but I had no idea Joseph Gordon-Levitt had such a lovely voice (and mad guitar skills)!!! I wish they'd record something. Their voices go so well together. OMG. I'm in love.

(And thanks for The Man Of the Hour, namely my brother, who found this and sent me the link instantly :D )

"I can haz The Hobbit now?"-Post #546
Finally a new video blog from the set of THE HOBBIT is online. Lots of tech-stuff but there are some nice glimpses of the cast and characters.

Admidst others, this.

Photobucket

AND MY HEAD WENT BOOM. BECAUSE. Yes I knew Frodo was going to have a cameo in the movie and I was excited about that. But seeing Elijah at the set of The Hobbit, wearing the exact same costume that Frodo wears when we first meet him in The Fellowship of the Ring--I must admit I squeed. Loudly. And there may have been some teary eyes.

I can't stress enough how incredibly perfect Martin is as Bilbo. I have no words. He is PERFECT. PERFECT. PERFECT.

Is it 2012 yet?

(Just in case you haven't noticed yet, I'm really, really, really, really looking forward to this movie. I don't even care of PJ mucks up the script and whatnot, I just want to see more of Middle-earth, really. See Bag End on the Big Screen again. Everything else I consider a bonus.)

The Darkest Hour
The BBC has put up this trailer for the season premiere which is tomorrow (!!!). Alas, I'll have to wait until Sunday evening until I can watch it because I'm at FilkCON but I do loooove this teaser. Which will make the wait even worse. Curses :)

I love this show. I can't help it. :-) OMG SPOILER )

In other news: my nose remains stuffed and my throat sore. Yay. NOT.

SHERLOCK SEASON 2 CLIPS.

OMG. JUST BRIEF ONES. BUT. BUT.

I'm mildly confused, though. I thought season two was moved to 2012? And usually the BBC doesn't release previews or trailers until like, the last possible moment O.o So what's this?

In any case. OMG. CAN'T WAIT.

(Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] roadrunner1896 for the heads-up.)

The Squee, I Haz It: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
This trailer just surfaced. OMG. I looooove a good conspiracy & espionage story, and this looks utterly compelling. The music! The overall look of the film! Eeee.

And if that wasn't intriguing enough, I'd watch this for the cast alone. Colin Firth, Gary Oldman, Benedict Cumberbatch (!!!), John Hurt ...hell yeah. Count me in.

He looks perfect. I knew he'd make a fantastic Bilbo (he was, after all, the only actor I could instantly picture as Bilbo) but seeing this first photo has me in all sorts of glee. Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!

Hobbit Squeeage: Edition 63546358
Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] elsmoka for the heads-up. At first I thought this was a fan video, but it's actually legit. In the spirit of Rise Up, Christchurch: A rather unusual first peak at the dwarves in The Hobbit :-p (including Mr Principal Dwarf).

I have a feeling the DVD extras for those movies are going to be every bit as heart-warming and hilarious as those from the LOTR DVDs.

All these adorable accents. Eeee!

God, I already love these guys.

Stephen Fry joins The Hobbit
Peter Jackson posted this on Facebook earlier today:

Some more HOBBIT casting news today. As we near the end of our first shooting block (we have a break in less than three weeks to get some editing and visual effects work done, plus prepare for very big scenes coming up), we are looking at characters featuring in sequences that take place a little later in the story.

We are thrilled to confirm that Stephen Fry will be playing The Master of Laketown. I've known Stephen for several years, and we're developing a DAMBUSTERS movie together. In addition to his writing skills, he's a terrific actor and will create a very memorable Master for us.

"There is nothing like looking, if you want to find something."
Okay.

Obviously Peter Jackson's video and the prospect of seeing Middle-earth again has me way more excited than I could ever have anticipated. I hereby apologise for all future squeeing, picspams, video posts and whathaveyou. Apparently it's not just another movie being made to me.

With that out of the way...

Livejournal returns from the dead just in time so I can post this video right after my brother pointed it out to me.

New series six trailer. OMG.

I should probably go and breathe into a bag for a while.

Mini Spoiler )

BTW the music used in the trailer is amazing. Does anyone know what it is? Or is it actually a DW score?

You Can Always Count on HBO. (Mild Spoilers for "Game Of Thrones. The Kind You Want to Read)

There are plenty of gay characters in A Song of Fire and Ice, a series of fantasy novels currently being adapted by HBO for television, the first season of which will be called A Game of Thrones. But what was a little more subtle in the books will be much more apparent in the series.

.hiatus
Just a quick note that I probably won't be around much for the next ten days or so. I get a [livejournal.com profile] pixel_0 tomorrow, and there shall be Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris and much fun and geekdom.

First though concert tonight with [livejournal.com profile] lyxzen. "A Fine Frenzy" and "Owl City". First time I'm trying out my new TomTom. *crosses fingers*

GLEE!
I didn't know Glee was returning tonight! Whee! What a pleasant surprise--I've been really looking forward to the hiatus being over. Already listened to the 1x14 songs and so far only one turned out to be instantly love -- but the show's prone to choose songs that make me go "Hm" in advance buthat love once they appear in the episode.

I'll finish this post off with a quote of the one and only Sue Sylvester.

"You think this was hard? Try auditioning for Baywatch and being told they're going in another direction. That was hard."

OK. Incidently, I'm off to dance class now.
