Happy Holidays!
Thank you to every one who wrote me Christmas cards--it is all very appreciated and put lots of smiles on my face. As every year, with my job being particularly stressful around this time of the year, I failed to send out cards again and I'm very sorry for that. But I love you all, and I hope you have a very lovely Christmas.

:-)

Awesomecakes.
(Thank you [livejournal.com profile] roadrunner1896 for linking me to this :p Did you see? There's a bit of Russel Tovey in it!)

This is win on more levels than I can currently count :-) Doctor Who really has the most adorable cast and crew. Bless them.

My brother still needs to get caught up with season three and four, so after seeing this video I actually watched 3x11 with him yesterday, even though season three is my least favourite by far (except for the final episodes which have the genius hat is John Simm).

I even have a Ten & Donna icon still. W00t.

Doctor Who 6x11 - 6x13
I finally got caught up with Doctor Who! Wheeee!!!

It's fair to say I really loved this season. I particularly enjoyed 6x11 and 6x12--6x13 wasn't bad, but it felt a bit rushed I thought? Oh yes, I got a question: who did the doctor call from the TARDIS? The name didn't mean anything to me. What did I miss? And HAHA! I guessed right about the question that was hidden in plain sight!

In other news: RORY RORY RORY RORY RORY RORY.

You know, there are only two fictional characters in this world that would make me rethink my stand on marriage.

1) Ted Mosby
2) Rory Williams

(Note how neither of these guys are particularly handsome. I just love them for what they are. I feel so grown up!)

Okay. So. I know I'm late to the party regarding the final three episodes but talk to me?

Icons!
I've had the icons from 5x01 sitting on my computer for weeks, adding some now and then, but I never got around to post them. After 6x01 had aired last night, I suddenly found myself in an iconing-frenzy, so I can actually offer an entire post of DW Icons now O.o

OMG
Livejournal returns from the dead just in time so I can post this video right after my brother pointed it out to me.

New series six trailer. OMG.

I should probably go and breathe into a bag for a while.

Mini Spoiler )

BTW the music used in the trailer is amazing. Does anyone know what it is? Or is it actually a DW score?

Torchwood Musings...
I thought Gwen from Torchwood was familiar looking but I'd have never guessed she's Gwyneth from the DW episode "The Unquiet Dead" - which makes me think, since she's called Gwyneth and Gwen and both things were/are set in Cardiff, is there a connection or does Russel T. Davies just like to torture us? :-)

AHAHAH.
So Jensen's playing a pierced skinny bearded punk in his new movie? Well at least he was casted for something else besides "cocky womanizer" for once...I hope *giggles*

And how cool is it that every Doctor Who episode turns in a family affair of Britain's most popular actors...sort of? :o)

Wanna write something so badly but can't really decide what - there's so many plotbunnies in my head!

OMG Just Saying Doctor Who 2x03 Trailer...
...calls for some random squeeage.

GILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S GILES!!!!!

By the way, I can't even begin to express how much I love the fact the 10th Doctor's wearing reading glasses.

Also I'm not going to say that I think David Tennant would have been perfect for Remus, too. Shame, really, he was casted for lunatic Barty Crouch Jr. Although I rather liked his outfit...

ETA: Torchwood Estate, eh? *sniggers*

Doctor Who Trivia - Because I Can.
From IMDB.COM:

When the first series was being made, television pirates were desperate to acquire the preview tapes. One of the people in the office had the idea of labeling the tapes with the anagram "Torchwood" rather than "Doctor Who", as a security measure to disguise the tapes when they were delivered from Cardiff to London. Writer Russell T. Davies liked this idea so much that it later inspired him to use it as a title when creating the spin-off series, "Torchwood" (2006).

Yay, I got six hours of sleep. I fell asleep while watching Disney's Robin Hood - what? *broad grin* OO DE LALLY!

Ooooh Something To Talk About...
I'm currently reading Nick Hornby's About A Boy and enjoying it muchly. I'm completely in love with the film based on the novel anyway, and I went to the cinema three times simply because I liked it so much. Now I finally got around to reading the original novel and I love it just as much. Nick Hornby's sense of humour is lovely, and I'm happy to see that they stuck quite close to the book characterwise when they made the film. Also, the hints on The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe made me giggle. Which reminds me, I still need to read the rest of the Chronicles Of Narnia.

And for something completely different - I got to talk with [livejournal.com profile] soulstar on [livejournal.com profile] liek_omg_'s journal and she told me April 15th has been confirmed as the date the new Doctor Who season is going to kick off. Yay!

Just watching the BBC version of Casanova, when Casanoca advertises for a woman to live with him. (By the way I totally bow to David Tennant, I had no idea he could act THAT well)

The first woman he interviews and who moves into the house, that is the actress who plays the Slavine alien in Dotctor Who! Hahah! For some reason I find that reaaaaally amusing.

And whenever they compliment David Tennant on his accent in England or he asks "Is my accent okay?" I crack up completely. Russel T Davies is a genius.

I ordered books and DVDs for my studies yesterday. Spent quite a fortune (or my father's fortune which I'm not proud of but right at the moment I have no money at all). I can't wait to see A Matter Of Life And Death. It's a film with David Niven from 1946 and it sounds brilliant

ETA: www.imdb.com sure is a fun place. I just found out that the actress who plays Henriette is Kate from A Knight's Tale. And she's gonna be in The Flying Scotsman, too.
