*happy sigh*

I returned home to find a link to this picture in my inbox (thanks again, [livejournal.com profile] liz_mo, for thinking of me :-) ).

He looks perfect. I knew he'd make a fantastic Bilbo (he was, after all, the only actor I could instantly picture as Bilbo) but seeing this first photo has me in all sorts of glee. Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!

AWWWW! He is Bilbo!

You are very much welcome.
Even though you went to Pierrefonds without me *grummel*

I honestly doubt we could have squeezed another person into Elli's Minicooper. Still, sorry :(

[identity profile] novafairy.livejournal.com 2011-06-25 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
Heee.

Also: Is that Rarmitage in the background sitting at the table looking all grumpy? ;)

I think? Elsmoka thinks he's sitting further in the back but since he's palying Thorin and Thorin is the principal dwarf it would make sense if he was sitting more upfront... :-)

(I like that icon of yours :-p )

I ONLY HAVE ONE THING TO SAY:

????

I mean, look at my icon and then at the picture. THE SIMILARITY IS STRIKING, RIGHT?

[identity profile] legoline.livejournal.com 2011-06-25 07:39 am (UTC)(link)
STRIKING INDEED.

Though, given that Thorin is the principal dwarf shouldn't he be the one facing us? O.o

[identity profile] elsmoka.livejournal.com 2011-06-25 08:31 am (UTC)(link)
Hm. maybe. I thought the nose was familiar. IDK. PICTURE IS TOO SMALL. MOAR PICTURES, PETER JACKSON!!

Really? That's a shame! Glad to be of service though--I can promise you there will be more squee to come :D

He is as perfect as I imagined him to be. But what also intrigued me about the picture was ->Richard as a dwarf - couldn't think of how that might look like, now I can see a glimpse of it in the background.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/red_moon_/ 2011-06-25 11:10 am (UTC)(link)
Btw, I think he is the dwarf upfront, too. The dwarf has his eyes... says my spider-sense.

[identity profile] legoline.livejournal.com 2011-06-25 11:14 am (UTC)(link)
That's what I thought. Plus it would make sense if Thorin was the "dwarf most on display", so to say.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/red_moon_/ 2011-06-25 11:33 am (UTC)(link)
Yep. Logic is our friend (this time).

Yes, exactly! Though from what I can tell here it lookes like they aged him, do you think?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/red_moon_/ 2011-06-25 11:36 am (UTC)(link)
Hm, difficult to say. I'm not sure. The thing is also - dwarf skin is a bit more... tougher than the skin of humans, hobbits or elves. I hope I didn't insult any dwarves now.

Yes, very true. It's...uhm...more wrinkled?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/red_moon_/ 2011-06-25 12:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Wrinkled, yeah! Makes it so much stronger and harder *looks for angry dwarves*

Maybe that is the reason why he looks a bit aged. I hope his skin doesn't react to the prosthetics like JRD's back on the filming of LOTR.

God, yes. That would be terrible.
