Heroes & Torchwood Ramblings
Heroes 1x10

I more or less skipped Nikki's storyline this time even though I actually like her. I guess I was too worried for Peter - I mean the way he coughed himself through his scenes really made my heart pucker up every damn time(okay, I can't help it, I loved Jess, I love Peter, it's all Milo's fault) so I needed to know what was going to happen to him.

Oh my God. So Peter's the one to explode? Heavens. I mean - I so didn't see that coming. But it does make sense somehow so that's what I liked. But they didn't actually kill off Peter, did they? (How is he going to explode if he's dead?) Poor chap. [livejournal.com profile] mareen posted this interesting theory that Peter got sick because he encountered to many mutants in too a short time, so maybe his body can't handle it? Or maybe (here goes my theory) the visions made him sick?

I also really loved Claire's storyline this time, with everybody's memory wiped out, especially Zach's. You're playing with our primal fears there, writers, nice job.

Torchwood 1x08 Stop watch. Did they do what I think they did???

It does make total sense though if Ianto is using his relationship with Jack to plan his revenge.

See, I was totally expecting those two to have sex with each other sooner or later. I was just also expecting them to have a big fall out with each other before it happens...which would then lead to some angry sex.
Since that didn't happen but Ianto made the first step anyway I'm now saying their fall out is still to come in the future. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the show ends with the coffee guy trying to take over Torchwood or something similar.

That's an interesting take on it. Ianto as the evil mastermind. The Coffee Guy Triumphs! Boy. The depths he's willing to sink to then... If that's the case, that's pretty depraved. (Almost makes me feel sorry for Jack. Well. Almost. Cuz... well. He kinda brought it on himself, the poor sod.)

I wouldn't even say he's evil, just that he's desperate and probably thinks he owes it to Lisa to get back at Jack, no matter if Jack is responsible for her death. Which I don't think. I think she had to be stopped, there was no other way.

If Jack is responsible for anything, it's the overall ignorance inside the team. I think the reason the team doesn't really care about each other is because in the end Jack doesn't really care about the team. He might like them, but in the end they are all replaceable. Jack is an incredible bad example.

You know, I think you're right. Maybe Gwen's not making calf-eyes at him. Maybe ... she starting to catch on. She seems to be the insightful, instinctive one of the group. That there's really not much of a heart in there. Or rather, that he hasn't allowed it to touch him in a long time. (I think in a lot of ways, the reason Jack and the Doctor got along so well was because they were so similar in that respect. The difference? The doctor allowed himself to love (we think :)) ... Jack just can't allow himself to do that (or at least, doesn't seem to have in the last 40 years or so). So he has sex instead. And lots of it. ;))
