To Boldly Go...

Just returned home from my second viewing of Star Trek. Still love it like heck, even if as per usual UCI began with airing the dubbed version until people complained and they switched to English. *sigh* They'll never learn. Also, it amuses me muchly that both times me and my friends formed the core of Nerd Central in the respective theatre. Seriously, where were all the Trekkers? Random fact: When Kirk drives his motorcycle to enlist in Starfleet? So Top Gun. I could actually hear "Take My BReath Away" playing in my head during that scene.

In other news, my Big Bang posting date is July 15th.

Also, said UCI movie theatre will actually show My Bloody Valentine 3-D. I saw posters! OMG! Too bad that they'll probably show the dubbed version which, nah.

Reads like you guys had a blast.

But seriously, the whole appeal of MBV is the 3D effects. I'd even take those of the dubbing. Seriously.

We did. It's a really cool movie :-) *listens to score* Still haven't really recognised Michael from "Something Wicked" though.

I think I might be too chicken to watch it at the movies, let alone in 3-D ;-)

I can't access the link from work, but I know it's out there for DL:-) It's the tie-in novel for the movie. And, boy, Zach Quinto does a real good McCoy as well...*hearts*

Heh. I didn't know a tie-in audiobook existed.
*goes off looking for the link*

Thanks ♥

Seriously, where were all the Trekkers?

Y'know, I kind of missed them, too, when we went the other week. Strange. I mean, there I was, musing over the fact that this was the 7th Trek movie I was seeing on the big screen (regular run, not movie nights and such) and, with one long hard look at the audience, I could easily claim this privilege for myself alone, as, seriously, age 14-20, tops...

I feel ancient...

*g* Mum and I weren't the only Trekkies in our local cinema for that one.

I was very much loving it! ;p
