God, I love show intros. In no particular order:

1. Miracles
I've only recently seen Miracles and fell in love with the intro the moment I saw it. It just mirrors the atmosphere of the show so well, and I also dig the music. I really think that if Supernatural had opening credits, they should be like this. Maybe with slightly rockier music. But anyway, this intro is wonderful.



2. Veronica Mars
Because it's just cool as hell and the opening song fits to Veronice like whoa (and it's also just a very, very cool song on its own). Also like the editing




3. Angel

Okay, that theme song right there? I honestly think it's the most beautiful piece of music composed for a tv show ever. I love everything about it. Every second. I don't even care about the shots they show during the credits because that song alone is enough to get me into the mood for Angel.

You listen to it, and you know you're in for a rather dark show with a tragic hero.



4. Babylon 5 - Season 3 Opening

The Babylon 5 credits really had to grow on me first, because they are very unusual. My favourite, when I watched it a couple of months back, was definitely the one for season 3. Because all of a sudden you had this rather dark, epic and heavy opening theme, and a very sombre voice-over spoken by Ivanova. It mirrors the season perfectly.



5. Due South

This is probably not the best intro in the history of tv, but I love it because it's so very old-school and incredibly 90's that it makes my heart weep. Also the song is one of the finest made for tv, I think.



And I'm fairly sure I've forgotten a gorgeous intro. Like Firefly or Farscape.
