I'm still enjoying the show, too. The only thing that's starting to annoy me are all the near misses. Can we finally meet the mother, please?

True. But didn't the showrunner say we've now reached the "final act" of the story? Or something? I'm not too annoyed yet, to be honest, but I can see why others would be.

I don't keep up with behind the scenes stuff beyond checking NPH's twitter account every now and then. I'm curious to see where the show goes from here on out. They've done a pretty good job keeping it together so far.

Oh, I just read that a while ago. I don't even remember when. I don't really keep up with spoilers either. I just remember the show runner admitted that season 5 had been too goofy, and that he wanted to give the show back the feel it had in the earlier seasons (which I highly approved of). Somewhere in that interview he mentioned that if HIMYM were a classic theatre play they'd be in the final act now...but then again, you never know. Showrunners change their mind all the time.
