Rhythm Is It!
The first time I saw this film was around christmas, I think. I was zapping through the channels when I suddenly stumbled across it, and I watched the whole thing through. Today I zapped into it again - just to find it as stunning and moving as the first time I saw it. I just found out there's a DVD out, I'm gonna need this real soon. Really soon.

It's not actually a film per sé - it's more of a documentary. In 2003, 250 children in Berlin learned and performed a choreography to Stravinsky's "La Sacre du Printemps" ("The Rite of Spring" I think in English). Some or most of the children were picked from a Berlin school in a "poorer" quarter, I think, who were facing unemployement and no future. Most of them had never really been "exposed" to classical music before. So, over the course of three months they learned that choreography, and the end result was fantastic. Really.

Have a trailer:
(The German kids are basically either saying that they don't want to be a part of this or that they're excited...)

And I really want the recording of La Sacre du Printemps now, too. Fantastic music.
