Twenty years later these scenes still bring tears to my eyes.

I wish we would actually celebrate this day with confetti and parades. Because we should. We really, really should.

I was 9 and I didn't understand everything that was going on in detail. But I lived outside of Washington DC and the cold war was just taken as a fact of life - the idea that it could be ending was amazing. Even a 9-year-old far away could pick up on that. *smile* Thanks for sharing the footage; it was great to watch as an adult.
