Pondering
Fahrenheit 9/11 was on TV tonight. I'm not a big fan of Michael Moore though I'm very Anti-Bush, but I think Michael Moore's mainly doing propaganda, noble as his goals may be, so I'm very skeptical towards his books and documentaries. Anyway, I thought I should at least have a shoot at it since it's been awarded with so many prices, but I switched the telly off after 45 minutes or so.

Honest opinion? I don't see why everyone praises it. It's not a real documentary, it's so biased and basically takes away all the thinking from the viewer. Maybe it's just me but I actually like to make my OWN opinion about things. There WERE few good scenes in it, but mostly it's an Anti-Bush campaign and not a documentary. Plus, there's no news in it... and it's narrated in the same tone as his books, I read Stupid White Men once and well, it was interesting but very biased, too. Obviously. I mean that man wants to get rid of Bush so he naturally won't include positive facts about Bush or credit him for anything. And that's what makes it propaganda for me.

Now don't get me wrong. I want to get rid of Bush, too...but I would like to use my own head in that case and not just parrot what Moore says.

I haven't read any of his books or seen any of his documentaries and I don't want to. When I heard about them, I immiediately got the impression that they'd be jsut like your described.

Good. All the more reason for me not to see them. THanks for this :)
