Lost - 1.04 Walkabout

Somebody could have frickin' warned me it has Dom's tummy in it! I literally smacked my desk table in order not to give out a loud shriek... *lol* [livejournal.com profile] dignity20 I've seen the tattoo now btw! :o)

Best episode so far methinks. Someone's being a real bitch...and someone's being extremely dumb cause he doesn't know when to be quiet :o)


Did you all see the promo pictures for The Moth? Seen the last two ones of Charlie at the camp fire? He doesn't look too well there does he? I smell a withdrawal ahead!

methinks, too!! I wasn't that convinced by the show yet, but this ep finally made me really liking that show! But I'm not obsesseg with it yet! Guess, The Moth will do it's part there ;)

Oh, and movies from that list you really should watch asap: Donnie Darko (!!! my fave movie), Requiem for a Dream and Memento!!

Definitely! I like the show alreay... I've always had a thing for catastrophies and deserted islands ... and junks! *lol*

I REALLY want to see Donnie Darko, it's my friend's fave film actually... but I'm very easily scared and I don't like scarya movies and so she keeps telling me I probably wouldn't like it! Duh :o)

I don't think Donnie Darko is scary like a horror movie (with blood and killing and scary monsters and such).. what's scary is the psychological part.. you never know, what happens next.. and when the movie is over you just sit there with your mouth open and think "WTF??".. and then you watch it again.. and again.. and everytime you have a new theory about the movie! I love such movies!!

I think so. By the way Jana already showed me the Mad World clip that's on the Donnie Darko DVD about 2 years ago...I LOVED the song ever since and I was really pissed when it was released as single this year and suddenly EVERYONE knew it... *growls*

I know what you mean: I downloaded the song when I first saw DD (around 2 or 3 years ago) and when I first heard it on the radio I thought: FUCK! Everyone will know it and nearly noone will really know that it's in that sad sad scene of DD and nobody will care! I hate it when something I love becomes popular! Just imagine Lost'd come to german tv and everyone would make a hype about it like with Sex & the City! That would suck IMHO!!

It IS actually being aired on premiere already... but hey, we got that great show VERSCHOLLEN and I'd bet 100Euros it's NOT a coincidence they started airing it NOW.

SOOO know what you mean... I loved that song so much and then it got popular and 12year old brats were like OMG THIS IS SHO KEWL... *growls*... and stuff like thishas also happened so often to me with actors, like Leo or Elijah for example... I liked them YEARS before they even ever got popular...*growls more*

It is on premiere? In german?? Did you see it yet? I'd really like to hear the synchro! Especially Dom's voice!! Cause Charlie without accent?? That's one more thing that bugs me about dubbed shows: they can't dub the accent and I LOVE british/irish/scottish accents! Imagine Spike without his accent *eeeeewww*

When I first saw the trailer of "verschollen" I thought the same!! Just another cheap copy of an american tv show!! Can't they have their own ideas??

Nope it's running in the original version on premiere, it started on October 6th so it's pretty close to the US airing. You know what bugs me? We frickin HAD premiere till a year ago or so!!! *growls*

And deffo agree on the accent thing... I mean Pip's only half as cute without the accent and you actually quite often don't get jokes about nationality when it's like referring to accents...there's this cool bit in Love Actually as a matter of fact which of course totally got messed up in the Synchro... *smacks forehead*...

(And yes also agree on Spike... but isn't it funny how quickly Angel lost his Irish accent? *lol*)

The thing is, I believe Verschollen was already filmed one or two years ago... but I think THEY thought it might be a good idea to start airing NOW that there's a similiar show in the US...

Aww.. that sucks that you don't have it anymore.. my sister still got it I think.. gonna ask her when I call her the next time!

I'd really like to know how they translated the scene from Buffy, where they all lost their memory and Spike's making fun of Giles about his accent and then finds out that he's british himself! You know, which scene I mean??
Yeah, Billy's accent is cute.. but I don't understand half of it.. :-/

*lol* I just really got it tht Angel is irish in like the fourth season of Angel *lol* before that I never thought about Angel being from somewhere else than the US!

I think they picked up two brand new US shows recently and that's why they air them in the original version, just because there's no time to dub them... that's what I suppose. It airs every Wednesday on 19:15m ethinks but I can't remember the channel... yeah what a shame we don't have it anymore :o(

Oh THAT scene from the eppie that curiously is called TABULA RASA? Well they made Spike say lots of like sophisticated/slightly old-fashioned words such as UNTRAGBAR and stuff... not REALLY funny but theymade they best of it methinks.

I'm 'used' to Billy's accent by now, plus I have a tutor at uni who's from Glasgow so... yes I'm basically used to it ;o)

Yeah, that's the scene I meant (and many more tv shows have episodes called tabula rasa btw.. there are some titles, every show uses some time *lol*)

That's the thing with accents: you have to get used to it! There's also a british version of QAF and it took some time till I got the accent..

Yupp... I remember when I went to Dublin for the first time I didn't understand a WORD when people talked to me...but now it seems I'm slowly making improvments, seems I get them better ... at least I was able to communicate with them this summer! *lol* (You know I tend to go on vacation to Ireland at least once a year *blushes*)

hiding in a boat is a great idea! Maybe you find one of those huge luxurius boats where you can get a job in the kitchen (isn't that illegal than hiding, you know? *g*).. then the way to europe itself would be like vacation!

Nope, don't have to be up early.. I'm a student and I'm pretty used to staying up late and sleeping till noon ;)

Actually Düsseldorf is a REALLY nice place...sometimes I just go there for shopping and hanging out... it's got a really nice promenade and a lovely old town with heaps of pubs... :o)
