But wouldn't trick Castiel and sending him to save Dean lead ultimately to trick Dean as well?
I don't think doing God's Will would necessarily help Dean to get a feeling of self-worth, especially if it leads to killing Sam (which I assume it will)

Really, what really bothers me is that many seems to think like Dean, that nothing good can happen to him.
Poor guy is just doomed. It would be better if he stayed where he was, since no matter where he goes and what he does, it's hell.
