The Supernatural Withdrawal Song or: I must be possessed to post this.
Okay. So, yesterday ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
missyjack asked for original music about Supernatural [here.]. I mentioned that I had indeed been writing songs about the show for some time (lyrics are here). missyjack said "Post it!" and I said, "Hmmmmmm dunnomaybesometime." (Thing is, except for being a bit paranoid about posting files on which I'm singing the songs also need a bit of arrangements etc. to sound decent.)
BUT! I remembered lyrics that I'd written in May 2006 after the season one finale which I'd completely forgotten about. I read them over and realised that if I tweaked them a bit, they could still work just as well for season four. Then I realised that if I was ever to record and post the song I'd better do it now because won't make much sense in October, right? Right. And thenongiara also said I should post them.

A few things:
1) Oh God, don't expect too much. It's a little songie with only me, my guitar Pat and my funny accent. Don't laugh.
2) I needed ten times until I got this one right. At first I recorded my guitar and my singing at the same time and always either screwed up the chords or the lyrics. Then I recorded my guitar first and added my singing later. I think I might be a bit out of key at times, which is probably because I was focusing so much on not screwing up the lyrics AGAIN. (Okay for a non-native speaker? They're HARD *whines*)
3) I wrote lyrics that rhyme!
So, May was over and I thought that I could deal,
After all there’s so many other shows that still appeal
A week went by, I told myself it was almost June
Then I realised this was going to be harder than I’d assumed
By the end of May I told myself “Only four months to go!”
Then two days later my detox symptoms began to show
My hands started shaking, my eyes grew all black
I thought “Cool, I’m possessed!”, my family called me whack.
I cannot wait – no no no!
I cannot wait – no no no
I cannot wait – no no no
'Til season four
June came and went, I was sure I could handle this
Three more months to go, til eternal wonderful bliss!
But the nervwracking waiting got harder with every day
And so I tried to distract myself in every possible way
Halfway through August I’d rewatched the whole show
About four or five times, I’m on my sixth time right now
And I just can’t help it, I’m afraid I might have lost my mind
But I know that me and my boys, we’re just one of a kind
I cannot wait – no no no!
I cannot wait – no no no
I cannot wait – no no no
'Til season four
Soon it’ll be September and the waiting will come to an end
And when I watch that first episode, please someone hold my hand
Will Sam be frightened, all right, possessed, will he be broody?
Will Dean be all right, be pretty--yes of course!--, will he be moody? (And the car! Don’t forget the car!)
Until then I’ll continue to bite my nails and wait, my oh my
Read fanfiction, and write, discuss and try my best not to cry
As I rewatch “Faith” and see my boys side by side
I cannot help but think this season’s gonna be one Hell of a ride!

4)I'm posting this under a flock, for now, so please don't repost the file. I'm embarrassed enough as it is :-) I might post this publicly but I really don't know, I mean...I'm not sure it's worth being posted outside of a flock. Which is NOT to say you should go and tell me now it's brilliant when it really isn't, I'd rather not have fandom point and laugh at me.
ETA: If this post should vanish over the course of the evening then I've turned into a chicken and set this to private. My fingers are already twitching to do it...
