LOTR much?
Yesterday [livejournal.com profile] lyxzen and I found something rather - curious at our bookstore downtown. It's a fantasy novel called Elfen Zauber (Elf magic) and while that title didn't necessarily made us go WTF the cover certainly did:

Okay. Did they really believe they could get away with that?

For comparison: The real deal.

Just...*speechless*

Nope. *shakes head* They really believe we're stupid I guess :o)

OOOOOR they thought "Let's put Legolas on the cover to hide the crappy story so all obsessed fangirls will buy the book!"

We guesses that the people responsible for that book falls into the "OMG-they-have-made-a-book-outta-the-movie!" category...

We guesses the book itself is rubbish and they want the Leggiiiiieee fangirls to buy the book :o)

Hrmmff... they might as well put up a big sign that says: "This book is so crappy that we don´t know any other ways of getting people to buy it!"

That´s what I´m saying. They might as well have put up a big sign where they spelled it out directly.
I guess they thought they were being subtle. Not unless their costumers are blind, deaf and live on Mars.

What did they do, download a trial version of photoshop and mess around with poor Leggy for a couple of minutes before printing? That's truly pathetic!

Yeah - I was one of them myself in the very beginning, before I realised how many batshit crazy girls there are, and that pretty much scared me away from him. Besides the fact that I realised that while he's pretty to look at, Orlando hasn't really done a lot of good acting. I liked him in LotR, since he didn't say much, and word has it he's good in Elizabethtown, but... that's pretty much it. I also discovered Hobbits;)

*lol* Exactly - but yeah, I thought he was pretty good in Elizabethtown.

I must admit I used to be a Leggyfangirl, too - for about three months. Then ROTK came out, and Merry & Pip finally stole my heart :p

I haven't seen Elizabethtown, so I'll take your word for it:)

Hang on, I have The Calcium Boy laying around on my computer... he's got that really cute post-LotR look, with short hair and just a hint of curls, maing him look really young - I think I'll watch that one this weekend:) He did it before the big hurrah started, just after LotR and either right after or right before Black Hawk Down, I think. Anyway, I never hear these crazy chix talk about it, so I can be all superior and "what do you mean, haven't seen it? I thought you were a Orli fangirl? *tuts*" :D
