Because if Sam says "I would die for you" that obviously means he cares.

Not necessarily. Maybe he'd die for him because he's his brother but not because he's also his friend and he respects him. I think they've spent so much time apart they hardly know each other anymore, thus they don't talk. And yes, even if Sam's only been to college for two years, you can be with somebody all the time and grow apart. And of course Dean cares, but I'm not sure whether he wants to admit it. Or whether Sam wants to see it.

Also, maybe they're afraid to open the box of Pandora?

But then the obvious thing for me was always *Sam* *beneath* the women on the ceiling.


I thought about that, too. But it still could be something his father's done, maybe he was cursed or something? That women who love his second-born will all die or something?

Though I wouldn't mind. I also wouldn't mind aliens. And eps that show us, what was before... You know, Sam at Stanford. Dean chasing something on his own.

What I'd really love to see is Dean hunting with his father. I *really* want to know how Dean acts around him.

*cough* Only makes one wonder, who *exactly* is Sam's father ; )
