Still dead from FilkCONtinental *yawns*

And on Friday it's RingCon. Seriously, if someone would offer me today to buy my tickets I'd sell them instantly. My first RingCon ever and both Sean Astin and David Wenham have cancelled. I just want it to be over with, I don't even care to go anymore. Fellowship Festival was a blast, FilkCON was great and I don't think RingCon can in any way compet with the experiences I made at the other two cons. It just doesn't seem worth the money anymore *shrug*

I think you should go in spite of all odds. It's always the same - I always like those partys best that I haven't any mood to attend!*smiles*
:-) I just came out of the bathtub, my hubbie is at Aquarium Club monthly meeting and I think about throwing HP 3 into my PC and watch it with English sound. Or maybe I try to find a tune to my latest lyrics that I will post in the board when everything is finished. This one is for Lastalda and I don't want her to set it to music before MY version is finished. :-)

BTW, I HATE my recordings ("Still beautiful" excepted) and the whole pack likes them. Even UT liked them. So they can't be too bad.

Well maybe she liked the SONG but my voice? Okay she said my voice was lovely but then again I think she's way too nice to tell me that my voice sucks :o)

And don't remind me of the Harmony part or I'll burst into tears again ;o)

I think about ringing you up to show you that gorgeous voice of mine that suddenly developed into that of a crow...I think I should make a performance out of this.
And for the other thing - I wish I could write something stunning like "Little Soldier".
I still cannot believe that Debbie played the flute along "Still Beautiful" and that UT visited my website and listened to the poor mp3 files... *sigh*

Ah well I travelled very far to go to Fellowship Festival... across the channel actually :o) And it's a 3 hour drive to RingCon - which by German standards IS far...

The closest con to me would have been ELF...2 or 3 hours by plane (terrified of planes) and like 18 by car or something. I couldn't have gone anyway, since it was scheduled during a time of the year where it would have been very difficult for me to get any time off work. I was very tempted to try (even tempted to get on a plane!) because Billy was supposed to be there. And then he canceled so... :)

Believe me, you don't!!! I live in Vorarlberg and you don't even get as much as a calender from LotR or suchlike without the internet. Pity...
Ring*Con, of course, is an exception - though I'm curious about how it will be organised since that wasn't done by the same people as the last.

It's truly very sad the the "good" stars have cancelled. Yet, I must admit, I don't even care - not too much, that is. I go to Ring*Con to meet with old and new friends I hardly ever get to see. Though, I'm curious about how it will be, since the organisation has not been with the people who organised the previous Cons. Well, we shall see.

Kommt Billy Boyd denn jetzt auch nicht? Ist auf jeden Fall sehr schade, dass die alle plötzlich absagen... aber du wirst bestimmt trotzdem deinen Spaß haben, allein schon wegen der vielen verrückten Leute, die man da sicherlich trifft. ;)

This is going to sound stupid, because you've been mentioning it for so long, but what exactly was FilkCon?

And I sympathise with you over RingCon, but surely there are still other things worth seeing?
