I swear, that song in Hooligans during the final fight sounds JUST like Brothers In Arms only it's not... don't think it's an coincidence actually.



So that was one intense film. Not sure I'd watch it again because...it's too intense like I said, hardly bearable at times even. Like when that Tommy-bloke smashes that man's head on the table desk in the restaurant? That sound is awful... but it's a good film. Sticks with you for a while, it does. Also Peter's character is just awesome. In a I'm-supposed-to-think-you're-a-sick-moron-but-I-can't-help-thinking-you're-a-decent-chap sort of way. The film catches the atmosphere and the... danger ... so brilliantly, how hooliganism even destroys lives, families, how suddenly all rules of civilisation vanish...

Not quite coherent here.

Just really liked it. I loved how it managed to focus on the characters, really. How it managed you to actually LIKE those hooligans who risk their lives to fight stupid wars and also risk beating people to death.

And also? Totally reminded me of American History X. In a good way. Even though Hooligans can't quite compete with American History X, they're both excellent films, at least in my opinion.

And I reckon I'll just stick with Hooligans instead of Green Street :p

I still want to see this movie, it should be out over here aswell. I'll remind myself not to eat anything before watching it if it really can get intense like that!! So is lij looking good or what??? ;).
