Now that I've got to attention--I'm still looking for a thing from California that kills people. Good, eh?
Here's the deal. I was hit with a plotbunny after all today, nothing big or spectacular, only something I've wanted to write for a while. BUT, I need some supernatural/urban legendy creature that can be hunted down first. You know, like a wendigo or a vampire or a werewolf only it shouldn't have been on the show before.
And it needs to be killing people.
All I could come up with after a bit of googleling was a Chupacabra and I suppose I could twist that so that it fits but I'd like to see if there isn't something better out there.
So...any useful links? Where do you guys do research? HOW AM I GOING TO FIND SOMETHING? Where are the people on my flist who know stuff?
Help?
Random information: a reoccuring theme of classic Gothic novels is incest. I've just found my perfect justification for writing Wincest \0/
ETA: I've found something \0/ Not directly a Californian monster but it should do the trick :)
