I name you...
Maia and I are planning on a Tolkien website ... (and I don't need to say that whoever wants to join the team is more than welcome, do I? )... and currently we're thinking of a name ... here's what Maia proposed so far:

Vision of Iluvatar
Calacirya - the Pass of Light
The Elendili (the "elf-friends" ie. ourselves... ;o) )
Ilmen (the upper airs of Arda)
Andor (the land of gift)
The White Tower
Tol Eressea

And here's little me, doing a little brainstorming as well :o) Just random thoughts ... :o)

The Southfaring
The Green Dragon
Bagshotroad
Field of Elanor (okay that's a cheesy one *lol*)
Minas Anor
Minas Ithil
Amon Sul (Hill of the wind)
The Argonath
Cirith Ninniach (the rainbow cleavage), anyone who can pronounce this raise your hand! :o)

Okay this is all I can think of now ... :o) Better ideas? Like anything? Maybe we should take something more 'unknown' or less obvious, I bet there are already 10 websites out there who are called "The Argonath" ...

Oh and NOW I remember what I wanted to tell you about my trip to Hamburg which had to do with LOTR ... there was a shop in the mall called "Bree" ... I so had to laugh *lol* Cause it was nothing Tolkien-related, it was pure coincidence...

Now I'm not too sure (though my aunt has told me about it what - a thousand times? :o) ) but I think it's to do with Merlin and the legend of King Arthur, only it focuses mainly on the female characters ... who live on the island of Avalon or something ... Maia? .o)

Lol! ...good stuff with that Bree - shop... *laughs*

I agree with you Steffi, you probably should go with something not everyone has... and well, I think all of those suggestions are pretty original. :) Personally I really like
The Elendili (the "elf-friends" ie. ourselves... ;o) )

I love names that sound good but also have a meaning in them, too, you know... just like the Elendili. Me likeeeees! :o)))

Ehh... if you'll HAVE me... I wrote a comment on the same issue into my journal when you asked whether or not I'd like to join but since I'm not sure if you've seen it, I'll repeat it here :o)
OF COURSE I would luuuurve to join, yesh! No doubt about that... But you DO realize that I know absolutely NOTHING about professor Tolkien, don't you...?! *lol* All I know is how to be a crazy-ass obsessed fanatic Ringer...! *LOL* But if you have a place open for for one of those, you know who to contact... ;)

And yeah, I'm voting for Elendili. It sounds really wicked! I love saying that... Elendili... elendilielendilidilidililiiiii...! Wheee!

*giggles* Daisyland? *feigns intrigued-scholarly look* Now is that derived from Elvish? Or based upon Tolkien's extended Middle Earth? In any case, very unique name... ;)

Gosh, and I'm afflicted with terrible indesiciveness, so I can only ooh and ahh and look at all the names I really like. Which are most all of them! lol. But...I think I'm gonna jump on the Elendili bandwagon here. It just seems so fitting!

And, erm, *looks timid* is there any chance you've got one more slot for another Tolkien obbssessee?
