And I've adpated Billy's way of pronouncing 'Pippin' - which is actually quite close to what I usually pronounce the 'i' in German O_O

Haven't done that I'm afraid. but words like 'dreams' and 'thirty' are adapted.

mind you, I do spend most of my time attempting german instead.

Okay now look, this is what I have to remember:

Present Perfect Simple:
focus on completition
focus on event/action rather than duration
repeated action (number of times)
permanent or long-lasting situations
effect&completition
past events with indefinite time adverb

Present Perfect Progressive:
focus on non-completition
focus on duration (action possibly completed)
repeated actions (focus on uninterrupted activity)
change/development (focus on continuation)
effect&duration

But... the whole Present Perfect... it's only used when an action from the past is leading up to the present or is connected to it somehow, right?

I'm going to be honest here and jsut say that I don't know. I always get confused with perfect tenses. I'm sorry I can't be more help!
