Lo and behold! TeH whininess...
A show called Boston Public is soon to air on German TV, and from what I've seen it looks quite cool, plus apparently it's by the same producer who did Ally McBeal and I loved Ally McBeal. So my question to the US folks (and anybody else who managed to *cough* watch it) is...since I have never heard of that show before, is it any good? Should I give it a chance?

In other news I'm still feeling completely ill and sick, I spent the day in bed once more. Watched Ice Age for the first time since I taped it on christmas. Liked it :o) Spent two hours getting some sleep and am now on my way back to bed again.

Oh and I've realised that my exam is tomorrow in two weeks time and since to bloody flu I'm WAY behind with revising... *headdesk*

i think Boston Public is the one with James Spader and William Shatner?? no, wait, that's Boston Legal, or something. is Boston Public about a school? if it is, i've seen an ep or 2, and it's alright. not brilliant, you know, not like Lost or West Wing, but... *shrugs* i don't know much of the plot, which is probably why i didn't get v into it... but it's sort of more soap-opera-ish than i generally like. but i bet it's one of those ones one could get really attached to if they watched it from the beginning! if you watch it, let me know what you think of it, yeah?

i finished beta-ing your 'cruel fic' ;) just need to type it up! started on another, as well, last night:D
(so sorry, again, that they've taken so long, but this printing out thing seems to be a good plan!)

i love you, sweetie!! feel better!!!
*hugs you tightly*

Boston Public has aired here for some while now... but I guess I´m not the right person to make television review these days, hmm? ;o) It´s.... a drama series. So if you like those, than I suppose you´ll like this one as well. I don´t think it´s particularly original though, nor has it that humourous sting to it that Ally McBeal had.

And GET WELL will you, pwease...?

Drama Series? You mean - like Dawson's Creek? O_O

I didn't know you watched Ally McBeal...

I watched it occasionally. :o) But the problem was - and still is that when I worked shifts I never had the chance to FOLLOW a series on a regular basis. Which means it´s hard to keep the interest up and even though I´ve been an office owl for a year now, I get bored of tv vurry easily. ;o)

Oh well...I usually never follow series THAT regularly (anymore, I used to), too... unless of course it's something I'm fannish about like I was with Buffy or am now with LOST ... :o)

I just think they get thinned out after a while, you know? I felt like that with Buffy, it was fun in the beginning, but then it just gets to freaked out and redundant.

*rubs eyes*

Did you just say you... watched BUFFY??? O_O

Well you see I'm a very loyal person *lol* ... For example I really didn't like season 4 and 5... but I just get attached to characters very quickly and though lots of people didn't like the following season 6 and7, I did... *shrug* ... but it's the same with Smallville. I really liked it in the beginning but now it gets more and more...dumb, really. *shrug* ...

*lol* Sweetie, I´ve probably watched EVERYTHING (everything that airs on norwegian tv that is) at least once or twice. I just don´t get hooked on it, you know? And shows with vampires, like Buffy or witches like Charmed... there are only so many demons I can take before it gets too boring, you see.
(Reply) (Parent) (Thread) (Link)
One Evil Muffin[identity profile] legoline.livejournal.com on January 25th, 2005 12:25 pm (UTC)
I've never watched Charmed actually... :o) And that is partly why I liked the later seasons of Buffy because it grew to be less and less about demons (though they were there of course) but the characters and all *lol*

And I just wouldn't have taken you for someone to watch Buffy :o)

Oh I thought it was kinda cool actually :o) And I remember, it used to air quite late a period, around mindninght-ish, so I got to catch it when I got home after a late shift. I think it was when the demons were gonna blow the high school up in the air or something I thought. "Oooookay, I think I´ll just..."

I really liked Charmed too for a while, still catch glimpses of it from time to time - I just rarely sit down to watch an entire eppie... of anything!
With the possibly exception of "Friends" and "That 70s show". When I don´t have anything else to do.

Oh Season 3 finale, wasn't it? *ponders*

With the possibly exception of "Friends" and "That 70s show".

You like That 70's Show?! *grabs for uber-klemsie* ... me loves! It's possibly the funniest series around at the moment...

That show wasn't a big success here so was cancelled quite quickly... but everybodys nuts about King Of Queens :o) Hey did you ever see a show callled 'Working' ? I dunno if it was that succesful cause over here a TV station that usually very rarely airs the 'popular' things aired it... but the show was HILARIOUS! :o)

About these people at... well... work? Fred Savage was staring in it, and their workplace was called... Uppton Webber or something? The show was insane sometimes, they had this very weird boss and... *not sure she's making any sense here*

Wow, it's been out here for ages...it IS rather dramatic, and not quite as witty as Ally McBeal, but I certainly enjoyed it anyways. I'd say give it a change, there's a big chance you'll like it. :)
Good luck with your exams!
