Look! The film that Spielberg is only making for me has a new trailer out! This time with bonus Benedict Cumberbatch and stuff!

See, my head is telling me, "That is one cheesy trailer." Or that's what it would be telling me if my inner seven-year old wasn't yelling FLAWLESS FLAWLESS FLAWLESS FLAWLESS HORSES MUSIC BOY AND HIS HORSE BAWL BAWL BAWL at me. That trailer pushes so many of my buttons I don't even. It's like they combined Lassie Come Home and Black Beauty and sprinkled Seabiscuit all over it. In other words: I choked up just watching that trailer and will probably be a complete mess once I've actually seen the whole thing. The trailer looks just beautiful. The cinematography. The music. It's so very old-school Spielberg.

I want to see this SO MUCH. Yes, it looks quite cheesy but WWI drama is something I have a hard time resisting.

Just...it looks so moving and inspiring. That trailer is beautiful, and I can never resist those "Boy and his horse/dog/dolphin/whale" movies. And did I mention it looks moving and beautiful?

The stage production of this was incredible...it is currently playing at Lincoln Center in NYC. If you live anywhere near there, it's worth seeing!

Alas, I don't. But everytime I went to London I saw posters for the West End production and I keep thinking that if it's still running next time I'm there (and I don't know when that will be) I should go see it.

I saw it when I was living in London and I am determined to take my daughter to see it in NYC for her Xmas pressie! Try to see it on stage - the production is fantastic.

It's been running forever and I doubt they'll take it off the stage any time soon, especially not if they can milk the commercial success of the film. So I wouldn't worry too much :)
