Does anyone remember Family Ties here, the sitcom with Michael J. Fox? When I was about 10 (and already in love with Michael J. Fox ^^) I used to watch it religiously, and there was this one episode where his mother Elise decided to sing folksongs again in clubs like she used to in the 60's. One of the songs she sang was This Land Is Your Land, and even though I'm not American and couldn't even understand the lyrics back then, this song stuck with me for years. When I then started to learn how to play the guitar, the very first song I could play was This Land Is Your Land, actually I was overjoyed to find out it was the first song in the book one was supposed to be able to play. I was so proud when I finally could play it, and knew all the chords, and it always reminded me of that episode of Family Ties, and still does.

This morning, while zapping through channels, Family Ties was on rerun, and what's more, it was this episode. I literally hadn't seen that one for over years, and it was just...so special seeing it. I know I'm sappy and cheesy (and possibly pathetic) but it meant a lot to me :p
