Just something I figured out lately...
I thought it was weird how I got so obsessive over films and TV Shows that I felt I needed to write about them, you know? All those ideas that just come to me immideatly whenever I watch or read something. And that kinda worried me. Like I was identifying with it too much yadda yadda yadda. But you know what I've realised? It's the other way round. The reason I write is not cause I'm obsessed with films and that stuff, the reason why I love films and TV shows and that is cause I'm obsessed with writing. And character and story development. You know? I find it dead interesting to watch how these scriptwriters tell a story and develop characters. And then I kick in and think about how *I* would have done it and write it down. Seems pretty logical from that point of view, eh? Pretty shockingly normal even. I know it's random but I prefer looking at it from this side. At least I don't need to worry about being so obsessed with films so much anymore...now that I think I figured out the reason. And I think it's a pretty good reason. :o)

Nighty night.

I got to bed at 2am and woke up at 5:30am again with massive cramps...period early again, huzzah! At least that makes three and a half hours of wonderful sleep I got tonight! [/sarcasm]. So the past one and a half hour I've been watching 'The Adventures Of Huck Finn' ... oh dear I so love that film. It's so ever eternally cool. And that scene where Jim carries Huck back though Huck begs him to run away? One of the most heart-breaking scenes. Ever.

I think I might buy ESOTSM today... just as a treat to drool over Elijah to watch Jim Carrey's acting skills (which he has, honestly!)

Last night there was a LOTR parody on Southpark...I usually don't watch Southpark but it was quite hilarious...only they were not trying to carry the One Ring to Mt Doom but the One Porn Film back to the video store. *lol*

Okay I'm feeling quite dizzy, I might crawl back to bed and at least try to get some sleep... or maybe even watch the Flipper DVD *cough* ... I swear I bought it only because it was so cheap and it was my first ever film with Lij I watched in the cinema (mainly because of him) but I haven't given the DVD a closer look! ...Yet, that is... *lol*

[livejournal.com profile] glitterbubbles good luck with getting that paper done! *crosses fingers*

I'm so not going to uni today.

Eternal Sunshine...
So I just watched ESOTSM and good Lord, how absolutely brilliant is that film? It's certainly one of the best films I've seen recently, if not ever. It's just so...real you know? It's so calm in its narrative technique but not a single second boring. And the actors? Elijah and Kirsten are fab, and Jim Carrey...I always knew he would be awesome at a serious part, ever since I saw The Truman Show. Stunning. Not to forget Kate Winslet - watching that film today just reminded me why she is my favourite actress. She is just gorgeous and an incredibly talented. I loved it how the director casted those two against their image, quite reversed actually. Jim being the silent, sensitive character and Kate the slightly insane and impulsive one. And the whole plot is just...wow. I can only recommend this film, really.

And by the way, know what else I noticed? That is the second time Elijah's been in a film that deals with memories and the erasing of them... *lol*
