I'm going to be honest here and jsut say that I don't know. I always get confused with perfect tenses. I'm sorry I can't be more help!

Nonono it's perfectly fine! You know more about German grammar than I do! :o) It's just that in German, we actually only use the Past Tense in written form...and the Perfect tenses when telling something, it's more colloquial and I'm so used to it that I tend to write everything in Perfect Tense in English, too ... O_o

You see, I'm just confused as to what the perfect ense is. I just mentioned this on a comment I left for you actually.
