A fellow at work promised me today to send me a postcard from England since he will be on Holiday there at the beginning of March. Nothing special, eh? But the thing is, I only asked him if he could bring me a postcard and he said he could also send it to me if I gave him my address. *lol* ... yes I know ... exciting... anyway I thought that really nice of him cause we're not that close and I'm collecting postcards from all over the world actually. My "greatest" treasure is the one from Auckland/New Zealand that my penpal sent to me when she visited their grandparents there. Do I envy her? No ... not at all *irony irony*

Hm what else to tell? Oh I watched "An American Tail" today... I think that film is SO cute and in fact I specially ordered a rather expensive UK Import only so I could also watch it in English. This film is my favourite animated one (next to LION KING), I just love the old Disney-style in which it's arranged and drawed, though it's not even by Disney :o) (Yes the film-geek is back *lol*)

And another personal success: I decided to try doing some more portraits with pencil and choke yesterday. Once a year or so I put out me pencils and try to do what I absolutely suck at: to portrait people, I've been doing that for years now :o) But yesterday I was kinda frustrated cause I love the drawings at the end of ROTK so much and they're nowhere available...so I thought to myself: Fine. Then you'll do them on your own. And against all my expectations they turned out quite good ... well not John-Howe-Good but for my standards... I drew Merry, Pippin and Gandalf and they actually look like them! *lol* go me .... *lol* I've decided now to portrait the whole cast as long as my sudden talent holds out .... :o)
